Privacy policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
New History, LLC ("New History," "we," "us," or "our") operates newhistorylifestyle.com and the New History services described below. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to our online store, customer accounts, subscriptions, Halo Club rewards, marketing communications, customer support, wholesale and location inquiries, and NH Retail where this policy is provided or linked. It covers information about shoppers, website visitors, business contacts, and authorized app users. Separate notices or agreements may apply to particular activities. This policy does not itself provide consent for optional marketing, device access, or other processing that requires your permission.
Privacy questions or requests: email info@newhistorylifestyle.com, call 302-219-4881, or use our contact form. See Section 11 for your choices and rights.
1. Information we collect and where it comes from
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. We receive information directly from you, automatically through our services, and from providers or business contacts involved in the services you use.
- Contact and account information: name, email address, telephone number, billing or shipping address, account identifiers, sign-in information, and preferences. Business contacts may also provide a company name, job role, store location, and business contact details.
- Purchases and payments: products viewed or ordered, cart activity, order history, subscription selections, delivery information, returns, discounts, invoices, receipts, and payment or refund status. Payment providers collect the payment details needed to process a transaction; we receive transaction information needed to manage the order, such as payment confirmation and limited payment-method details.
- Rewards and participation: Halo Club membership, points earned and redeemed, referrals, eligible activities, event check-ins, and birthday information if you choose to provide it for a birthday reward. Particular offers may have additional terms.
- Messages and submitted content: contact forms, chat conversations, customer-service correspondence, product reviews, photographs, feedback, and information submitted for wholesale inquiries, events, promotions, or location requests.
- Location information: the city, ZIP code, address, or market you provide; an approximate location derived from your IP address; and device location when you choose a location feature and grant permission. Section 3 explains device location in more detail.
- Device and activity information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, cookie or similar identifiers, referring pages, pages and products viewed, clicks, searches, cart events, and interactions with our emails or advertisements. These interactions may help us understand product interests and preferences.
- Consent and preference records: marketing sign-ups, unsubscribe requests, cookie choices received through available controls, and information recording when and how a preference was submitted.
- NH Retail information: authorized-user account details and profile photos, business contacts, store visits, stock counts, orders, shelf photos, notes, follow-ups, and authorized connected-service information, as described in Section 7.
Providers such as our store platform, payment processors, delivery partners, communications services, and connected accounting services may supply order, delivery, activity, or payment-status information. Business customers and authorized representatives may provide contact information for colleagues involved in an order or account. Please provide another person's information only when you are authorized to do so.
You can choose not to provide optional information. We may be unable to complete an order, respond to a request, or provide a particular feature without the information it needs. Please do not include unnecessary health information, government identification numbers, passwords, or full payment-card or bank credentials in messages, notes, reviews, or photos.
2. How we use personal information
- Operate the store and fulfill requests: manage accounts, process orders and payments, arrange delivery, administer subscriptions, handle returns, and provide customer support.
- Manage business relationships: respond to wholesale inquiries, manage retail accounts and visits, maintain inventory and order records, prepare invoices and receipts, and follow up on business requests.
- Provide rewards and community activities: administer Halo Club, eligible referrals, promotions, event participation, and related benefits.
- Communicate with you: send order and account notices, answer questions, and provide marketing communications consistent with your choices and applicable law.
- Understand and improve our services: evaluate product demand, site performance, customer experience, and marketing effectiveness; personalize relevant content and offers; and plan availability in requested markets.
- Advertise: use eligible contact, shopping, and online-activity information to reach interested audiences and measure campaigns, subject to applicable choices and legal requirements. The restrictions for SMS consent and NH Retail connected accounting data below take precedence over these general advertising uses.
- Protect our services and meet obligations: detect fraud and misuse, secure accounts, keep business and accounting records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with applicable law.
3. Location requests and store-finding features
You can enter a city or ZIP code manually. If you select "Use my current location" or a nearby-location feature, your browser may ask permission to access device coordinates. The request form can include those coordinates with your name, email, and other submitted details when you submit it. We use that information to respond to your request and understand demand in your area. Nearby-location tools use location to identify relevant retail partners.
You may decline location access or revoke it in your browser or device settings. Revoking permission stops future access through that permission; it does not automatically remove information you already submitted. Contact us to request deletion, subject to applicable retention requirements.
Embedded maps and directions links may connect to map providers, including OpenStreetMap or Google, which can receive technical information such as your IP address and information associated with the map or directions you open. Those providers' privacy policies apply to their services.
4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising technologies
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. Some support essential functions such as account access, shopping carts, checkout, security, and preference storage. Others support analytics, personalization, email engagement measurement, advertising, or campaign attribution. Providers may recognize a browser or device over time and across different websites.
Our store uses Shopify. Other services present on our site include Klaviyo for marketing communications, Google analytics tools, Rivo for rewards, Okendo for reviews, Appstle for subscriptions, and LeadConnector for chat. These services process information relevant to the functions they provide. Our forms may also use hCaptcha to help prevent automated abuse.
Use cookie controls when presented and your browser's settings to manage or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may affect accounts or checkout. Choices can be specific to a browser or device and may need to be renewed after cookies are cleared. An informational cookie notice is not, by itself, an opt-out from advertising or data sharing.
Browser "Do Not Track" settings are different from legally recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). Automatic handling of browser signals depends on the applicable platform, service, and regional privacy settings. You may send an opt-out request directly using the contact methods in Section 11. Applicable legal requirements concerning recognized opt-out signals continue to apply.
For details about Shopify's technologies, see Shopify's Cookie Policy. See Sections 5, 6, and 11 for other provider information and privacy choices.
5. How we disclose information
We disclose information for the purposes described in this policy to the following categories of recipients, as relevant to your interaction:
- Service providers: store and app hosting, authentication, payments, accounting, fulfillment and shipping, subscriptions, customer support, communications, reviews, rewards, security, and analytics providers. They receive the information needed for their services.
- Advertising and marketing partners: eligible identifiers, contact information, browsing activity, shopping activity, and related interests used to deliver or measure advertising, subject to applicable choices and law.
- People or services you direct us to use: intended invoice recipients, delivery recipients, connected services you authorize, and other parties when you request or authorize disclosure.
- Authorized personnel: New History staff and representatives who need information for their responsibilities. NH Retail business records are shared with authorized users as described below.
- Legal, security, and business-transaction recipients: advisers, authorities, or transaction counterparties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, address fraud, or evaluate or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of business assets, subject to appropriate protections.
Advertising-related disclosures may constitute a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged. The information involved may include online identifiers, contact identifiers, browsing or shopping activity, and related interests. You may request an opt-out as described in Section 11.
SMS consent: SMS enrollment information and consent records are not provided to others for their own marketing or advertising. They may be disclosed to messaging platforms, carriers, and supporting providers to deliver and administer the text-message service, or when required by law. General marketing-sharing language in this policy does not override this restriction.
NH Retail connected accounting data: the operational-use restrictions in Section 7 apply instead of the general advertising provisions above.
6. Our relationship with Shopify
Shopify hosts our online store and processes information about your access to and use of the store to provide and improve the shopping experience. Information submitted through checkout and other store features may be transmitted to Shopify and its service providers, including providers in countries other than where you live.
Where Shopify Network Intelligence or enhanced services are enabled, Shopify may use information about interactions with our store together with interactions with Shopify and other merchants to support features such as personalization, advertising, and fraud prevention. Shopify is responsible for processing it performs for its own purposes, as described in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Visit Shopify's Privacy Portal to learn about and exercise choices relating to Shopify's processing. Requests to New History can be made separately using Section 11.
7. NH Retail, business records, and QuickBooks
NH Retail is a private business tool for authorized New History users. It supports retail locations, business contacts, inventory, orders, visits, shelf photos, notes, follow-ups, and related account features. Uploaded profile photos and operational content may be visible to authorized users as needed to operate the app and manage the business.
Connected accounting services. Where enabled, an authorized administrator may connect the organization's QuickBooks Online account. The app may then access the company, customer, product, invoice, and payment-status information needed for authorized workflows. This information may be used to prepare or create invoices, retrieve payment status, reconcile orders, and send an invoice or paid invoice copy to its intended recipient when requested by an authorized user.
NH Retail connected accounting information is used for authorized operational functions. It is not sold or supplied for unrelated advertising. Access and disclosure are limited to authorized New History users, intended recipients of their own records, and hosting, authentication, accounting, payment, or other providers needed to operate those functions, except where disclosure is legally required.
Payments. Electronic payments take place through the connected provider's hosted services. Do not enter full card numbers, card security codes, banking credentials, or sign-in codes into app notes or photos. Payment records and status are supplied by the connected accounting or payment service.
Disconnecting and deletion. An authorized administrator can revoke the connection through the connected service or contact New History for help. Signing out of NH Retail or removing its home-screen icon does not revoke the organization's connection or erase records. Disconnection prevents future authorized access through that connection but does not automatically delete previously obtained information, customer invoices, or accounting records. You may request deletion by contacting us; records needed for legal, tax, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes may be retained.
Do not upload unnecessary personal information or identifiable people in shelf photos. Operational uploads are not automatically public website content. NH Retail's license terms appear in our End User License Agreement. Intuit handles information under its own Global Privacy Statement.
8. Email and SMS communications
Email. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in an email or by contacting us. We may still send non-promotional messages needed for orders, accounts, service requests, or legal obligations. Providing an email for a receipt or support request does not, by itself, constitute consent to SMS marketing.
SMS and mobile messaging terms. If you opt in to New History's text-message program, you may receive recurring promotional messages, offers, cart reminders, and messages relevant to the program you selected. Messages may use automated technology. Consent to promotional texts is voluntary and is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Cookies and similar technologies may identify items placed in your cart and an incomplete checkout so that we can send cart reminders where you have provided the required consent. Email and SMS preferences are separate.
To stop texts, reply STOP to the number that sent the message or follow its unsubscribe instructions. You may receive a confirmation of your opt-out. For assistance, reply HELP or email info@newhistorylifestyle.com. If you participate in separate programs, use the instructions for each program unless applicable law requires broader treatment of your request.
Let us know if you change or give up a subscribed telephone number. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. We may modify or discontinue the program and will provide notice or obtain renewed consent when required. SMS enrollment and consent information are subject to the sharing restriction in Section 5.
9. Reviews, rewards, and third-party services
Reviews and other content you submit for public display may be visible to other people, together with the display name or details shown by that feature. Do not include information you want to keep private. Contact us with requests concerning information you have posted.
Halo Club uses membership and qualifying-activity information to administer points and rewards. You may contact us about leaving the program. Separate program terms govern eligibility and benefits. Where a promotion requires an additional privacy or financial-incentive notice, that notice supplements this policy.
External sites, social networks, videos, maps, payment services, and other third-party features have their own privacy practices. Opening a link, playing embedded content, or interacting with a third-party feature may provide information to that provider. Review its notice before supplying personal information.
10. Retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal or business requirements. The period varies by the type of record, the duration of an account or relationship, outstanding orders or subscriptions, tax and accounting obligations, fraud prevention, disputes, and enforcement of agreements. We may retain a limited suppression record to respect a marketing opt-out.
Closing an account, disconnecting a service, or requesting deletion does not require us to erase records that applicable law allows or requires us to retain. Information retained for those reasons remains subject to this policy. Backup copies may persist through ordinary retention cycles.
We use safeguards designed to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed secure. Protect your account credentials and devices, avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary messages, and contact us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
11. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on your location and whether the relevant law applies to our processing, you may have rights to:
- Know whether we process your information and obtain access to it, including information about its sources, purposes, and recipients.
- Correct inaccurate information or request deletion.
- Receive a portable copy of information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.
- Limit or withdraw consent for certain uses of sensitive personal information, including precise location, where applicable.
- Object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request.
How to submit a request: email info@newhistorylifestyle.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject, call 302-219-4881, use our contact form, or write to the address below. For an advertising-related request, tell us you want to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Identify the account or interaction involved and your request; do not send passwords or full payment details. You do not need to create an account to make a request.
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify an access, correction, or deletion request and protect other people's information. An authorized agent may submit a request with proof of authority, and we may need to verify the request directly with you where permitted. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any permitted denial or extension.
To appeal a denial where an appeal right applies, reply to our response or email us with "Privacy Appeal" and the relevant request details. You may also contact the appropriate regulator or state attorney general. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal or processing based on another lawful ground. Account updates, email unsubscribe links, SMS STOP instructions, and browser or device controls provide additional choices as described above.
12. Additional information for U.S. residents
The categories in Section 1 include identifiers, customer and commercial records, internet or network activity, location information, photographs or other submitted content, business or professional contact information, and interests inferred from activity. Some information, including precise device location and certain account or financial details, may be considered sensitive under applicable law.
Sections 1 through 7 explain sources, purposes, and recipient categories. Section 10 explains the factors used to determine retention. These disclosures describe the services we operate and the information involved; the categories relevant to a particular person depend on their interactions with us. We do not use or disclose sensitive information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. Requests concerning sensitive information can be made through Section 11.
California and other state privacy rights apply when the relevant law covers the business and processing involved. This notice does not limit any rights or remedies you have under applicable law.
13. International visitors
New History is based in the United States. We and our providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries, whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
Where European, UK, or similar data-protection law applies, New History is responsible for processing it determines. Our legal grounds, as applicable, include performing a contract or responding to a requested pre-contract step, complying with law, legitimate interests in operating and securing our business and supporting customers, and consent where required, including for certain marketing or optional technologies. You may request more information about the applicable ground for a particular activity.
Where legally required for an international transfer, applicable safeguards must be used, such as recognized contractual protections, an adequacy decision, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for information about relevant safeguards or to exercise access, objection, restriction, deletion, portability, or consent-withdrawal rights. You may complain to your local data-protection authority.
14. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and address it. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16 for targeted advertising.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. We will publish the revised version here and update the date above. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.
